Side view. The two and one-half story brick structure has a semi-raised basement, a mansard roof partially covered in green slate, dormers, and a central tower. Scored stucco was later added over the original brick. Two square paneled columns support the entrance porch. There are four end chimneys and an interior one. The second owner, Nancy Hillis, was "Mandy" in John Berendt's _Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil_. Hillis sold the house in 1997 to Charles and Sue Strickland. For more information, see Linley, John. The Georgia catalog, Historic American Buildings Survey: a guide to the architecture of the state. Athens, Ga.: University of Georgia Press, c1982, p. 330.
