Two-story wood frame Greek Revival house featuring a portico supported by six fluted Doric columns and having a balcony above the entrance. The porch is enclosed by a balustrade. The entrance is framed by fluted pilasters that are smaller versions of the columns supporting the roof of the portico. The house was built before Linton was established by Dr. John Stone who came from Vermont. Gus Buck married Dr. Stone's daughter Willie, and for a while the house was known as the Buck House. Nora Buck Boyer, Dr. Stone's granddaughter, later owned the house. For more information see Linley, John. Architecture of Middle Georgia: the Oconee Area.
