Victorian style building with a Second Empire clock tower, built of brick after the end of the Civil War. Additions were made in 1899 and 1939. The courthouse was renovated from 1970 to 1973 and partially rehabilitated in 1987. Built by Greene Brantley and J. W. Renfroe, the courthouse was remodeled by L. F. Goodrich in 1899.
