Rose gardens, former kitchen, and carriage house of the University of Georgia President's Home, a rectangular Greek Revival house built between 1857 and 1858 for John Thomas Grant. The house has a hipped roof with four end chimneys. The two-story porch extends along the sides of the house, and continuous entablature surrounds the structure. The photograph features the portico of the south facade.
