Detail of portico and roof entablature of a two-story wood frame house featuring a hipped roof one-story portico with projecting pediment supported by fluted Doric columns. Four columns support the main porch roof and two pairs of columns support the projecting pediment. The house was built in 1846 as a private residence and was used during the early 1900s to house The Keely Institute, a clinic for alcoholics. Berry Schools (Berry College) acquired the house from J. C. Camp in 1926, and used it as a residence for faculty and staff. In 1964, Berry graduate Theda (Nettles) Gandy, wife of Berry vice president Thomas Gandy, researched the building's history and restored it under the direction of J. T. Woodbury, AIA.
