The Goldfish garden features a rectangular pond centered in a manicured lawn surrounded by ornamental bushes and trees. It is one of five formal gardens landscaped by Robert Cridland from Philadelphia, who specialized in Colonial Revival gardens. The fountain in the rectangular pool was given to Martha Berry by the president of Fort Payne Mills. For more information see Dickey, Ouida W., ed.
