- Description:
- Two-story wood house on a high brick basement, featuring an entrance portico with pediment supported by paired square Doric inspired columns. The portico is reached by a long brick stairway with a delicate iron railing. Lemuel Greene was a Trustee of Mercer in 1838-42 and of the Female Academy in 1839. His son L. D. Greene was a student at Mercer. Reverend Thomas Martin and his wife Sarah, daughter of Peter Northern from Jones County lived here. David W. Lester from Haddock, class of 1854, boarded here.
