View from the parlor into the dining room. A foliated plaster ceiling medallion is visible as are the plaster cornice moldings and foliated center blocks over the double door. Owens lists date as 1835; however, an original gutter on the house was dated 1839, so HABS estimates the completion date as sometime before 1849. For more information, see Linley, John. The Georgia catalog, Historic American Buildings Survey: a guide to the architecture of the state. Athens, Ga.: University of Georgia Press, c1982, p. 343.
