The one-and-a-half story frame and clapboarding structure sports an Ionic portico with fluted columns and hand-carved capitals. The roof is gabled. Originally built by Wagner for Joseph D. McFarland, the house has a central hall plan. Around 1880, a room, a porch, and a rear ell were added to the building. For more information, see Linley, John.
