This two-story wood frame house with external brick chimneys features a two-story portico with a massive entablature supported by four heroic fluted Doric columns across the front of the house. A balcony over the entrance is enclosed by a decorative railing and the porch is enclosed by a balustrade. A two-story addition is visible at the rear with a side entrance stairway leading to a Victorian style porch with decorative ironwork, with a balcony overhead enclosed by a balustrade.
Slide annotated: "Federal style plantation house circa 1825, converted to Greek Revival circa 1840, with Egyptian type moldings around interior doors and windows. Completely renovated and somewhat remodeled in 1960 by Mr. and Mrs. Robt Leavell. Edwin J. Wade-restoration architect."
