Built around 1927 by Walker and Weeks for Howard Melville, Jr., the guest house is an example of Colonial Revival. In 1948, a kitchen wing and rear bedroom were added. The guest house is a one-story structure with attic, featuring an entrance portico flanked by forward facing gables with large square windows.
