Aerial view of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Slide annotated: "Organized in 1734. Built circa 1786." Linley's Catalog dates the church to 1820 and lists John Land as the original architect. Additionally, it burned in 1916 and was rebuilt in 1919 by the architect, H.T.E. Wendell. The exterior is largely a replica of the original. For more information, see John Linley's The Georgia Catalog: Historic American Buildings Survey ; a guide to the architecture of the state published by the University of Georgia Press in 1982.
Date of structure: 1820.
