The red brick house with two-story portico at left center is the Kappa Alpha Theta House, also known as the Dearing House, a two-story rectangular brick house featuring a Heroic Greek Doric porch on three sides with stuccoed brick columns. The full length windows open onto the porch. It was converted to a sorority house in 1936 and a three story wing was added to the rear in 1957. For more information see Linley, John. The one-story house in the center is the Chi Omega House. It features projecting wings on either side of the main structure. The wings have forward facing eaves with fanlight windows centered in the gables. The entrance features sidelights and a Palladian fanlight transom.
