Former home of vice president of the Confederacy, Alexander Stephens. The frame house with clapboarding has a wood shingle roof and was built using the central hall plan. The porch and main part of the structure have a hipped roof whereas the wing and rear ell have a gabled roof. The one-story porch has five-bays and square tapered columns. The structure was remodeled in 1872.
