View of columns. The Greek Revival home was built by James M. Broadfield in 1854 for Henry Trippe. Above the house's entablature, concealing an almost flat roof, is a heavy parapet. The columns on the porch are fluted Doric ones, and Doric pilasters flank the entrance. After purchasing the home in 1891, Benjamin Hunt, banker and dairyman, added some Victorian features to the home and restored the house. Later owner Dr. Robert Lott restored the home again in the 1990s.
