Original part of house built ca. 1797. It was enlarged and remodeled ca. 1810 to change orientation. Portico, west wing, and details added ca. 1837 and east wing during the late 19th century. The main roof is hipped whereas the roofs of the porch and west wing are flat. The front and main facade are Greek Revival and other additions indigenous Victorian.
