In 1959 42 million more birds were
raised than in 1957, yet the value was
only 3 million dollars more in 1959 than
in 1957, :

The ten leading counties in broiler
production in 1958 (estimates not avail-
able for 1959) were Cherokee, Hall, For-
syth, Whitfield, Jackson, White, Haber-
sham, Franklin, Lumpkin, and Gwinnett.
