e
thorize, livestock sanitary officials are re-
quested to consider whether or not all
fresh pork products should not be import-
ed into the respective States unless such
pork or pork products have been sub-
jected to temperature and time to render
the same sterile. This recommendation
is made to be effective during the pene
of the existing threat,
(6) That all vehicles and aio cars
used in the transportation of any live-._
stock, regardless of species, entering into
a State must-be accompanied by a certifi-
cate of disinfection (this certificate in ad-
dition to the official health certificate) - 3
been
showing that the vehicle has
thoroughly cleaned and properly disin-
fected before being loaded with the cargo
of livestock.
(7) That raw garbage, where State
law may authorize, be rendered sterile be- :
fore being fed to swine; and that all trans-
portation companies entering the State
having accommodations for feeding food
shall dispose of their garbage as directed
by the State sanitary official and disposed
of only at a place designated by such of
ficial.
(8) That wide. dissemination be made
to livestock growers, feeders, veterinari-
ans, and other persons interested in live-
stock of the symptoms of this disease and
of the methods of controlling, preventing
and eradicating the disease.
(9) That a program for the establish-
ment of control stations on all trunk
*
routes, highways, and other concentra-
tion points be established by joint co-
operation between the respective States
and the Bureau of Animal Industry,
whereby the respective States, party to
this conference, assist each other in, the
operation of these control points.
(10) That livestock sanitary officials,
in cooperation with the Bureau of Animal
Industry, should take immediate action to
completely eradicate vesicular exanthe-
ma.
