The last issue of The Market Bulletin was
printed on pine paper manufactured in the South
and we are glad to state that cotton cord manu-
iactured in Newton County, Georgia, is now be-
-ing used to tie up the bundles of The Market.
Bulletins that go to the various postoffices in
the state.

562,000, an average of 12.82 cents a pound. Fifty
warehouses operate in 15 south Georgia cities.
Bright leaf or cigarette tobacco is grown in about
50 south Georgia counties and some ahde or wrap-
per tobacco is grown in southwest Georgia, while
some burley variety is grown in north Georgia. =

Conference on Grass
The Coastal Plain Experiment Station iat Tif-

ton announces that the first southeastern grassland

conference will be held there July 25-26 at which

Southern forage crops and pastures will be dis-
cussed. Dr. S. H. Starr, is Director of the i ittond

Comulissionst Roberts in a radio speech on
June 25 over WSB urged Georgia farmers to save
all their grain straw for livestock roughage, and to
save all hay possible and to follow grain with such
forage crops as they can in the different sections
of the state.

more of our feeds as it is, and more so, if there
should be a shortage in the nation, especially next
spring, during crop growing season.

Atlanta Spot Cotton

Atlanta spot cotton closed steady, middling
11.20. The average price of middling 15/16 inch
cotton at the ten designated southern spot mar-
kets today was 10.68 cents per pound. Middling
