Baby Chick Code In Force

The Baby. Chick Code was ene ky President

Roosevelt on December 27th, and became effective

selling 500 chicks or less in any one year, hatched from
eggs produced on their own farms. All hatcheries pur-

chasing hatching eggs or doing custom hatching come
under this code. Everyone under the code will have to

pay 15c per thousand incubator capacity, or a minimum
fee of $2. 00, for administration. purposes. Also all Genk
ers must pay a fee of $2.00 per year.

lt has been provided that anyone violating any of

the provisions of this code is subject to a fine of $500.00 |
and $500.00 per day for every day the violation contin- 3

ues, and six months imprisonment,
