Peace On Earth |
The Christmas season approaches: and the wheels of time roll back over the years gone by, ae we are
- children again, mingling our joys and hopes with theirs as they look with gladness for the annual return |
~their favorite Saint. The Song of the Angels again rings across the centuries, bringing us the inspir ing
Be of Peace on Earth, good will among ment _
; os that night of the long ago, the diopkeric tuned in with the Celestial Choir and caught the melody
of a new song that has transformed the thought of the world. The coming of Jesus changes the annals of
~ history, and we date our correspondence and our business transactions from his birth. His coming teach-
es us the duty of living on a higher levelthe level of universal brotherhood.
The sentiment of the Angels Song challenges our loftiest purposes and our most earnest efforts to make
this a better world to live in, a world in which men shall Jove and not hate, where we shall cooperate
_ with, and not antagonize, each other; where friendship and helpfulness shall take the place of contention
* and strife. This is an age of team- work in the commercial enterprises as well as in the affairs of benevo-
_-Jence and charity. Leb pereivn points the way that leads to success and happiness.
os This. may be a high ideal, but there is something appealing in the thought of a coming day, when peace
-. and good will shall rule the nations as well as the individual lives of men.
May all our readers find the joy this Christmas season brings!
Da
Important Notive'to Adveriis sers:
