I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground.
But this is not just a penny
This little coin I found.
Found pennies come from heaven
That is what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels toss them down.
Oh, how I loved that story.
He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
Make a smile out of a frown.
So dont pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you.

On a cool fall morning of October 11, 1982, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie
Winfrey welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Aften Nicole
"CoCo" Winfrey into this earthly realm. On Friday afternoon,
September 12, 2003, she answered the sudden call to return home to
be with her heavenly Father, at the Medical College of Georgia.
She was the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack O'Bryant
and the late Deacon and Mrs. Durel Winfrey.
CoCo was baptized at a very early age at the Elim Baptist Church by
the Reverend Dr. Charles E. Smith, where she was a member of the
Elim Children Choir, and later graduated to the Elim Youth Choir.
In 1993, Aften "CoCo" Winfrey was chosen as the Poster Child for
the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia. She represented thousands of
children in Georgia with this dreaded disease, and was entered into
the National Foundation that same year.
She was a Junior Volunteer at Columbia Augusta Medical Center for
two years, and brought joy to everyone she came in contact with
while volunteering.
CoCo attended A. Brian Merry Elementary School, John M. Tutt
Middle School, and graduated from Westside High School in 2002,
where she was a member of the Step Team. CoCo was currently a
student at Augusta Technical Institution for Cosmetology.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Peanut Winfrey.
To cherish her fond memories are her devoted parents, Patricia and
Freddie Winfrey; one brother, Calvin (Tiffany) Winfrey; three nieces,
TiAndrea, Tyease and Taylor, all of Augusta, Georgia; four aunts,
Mrs. Marguerite Robbins, Mrs. Katie Broadwater, both of Augusta,
Georgia, Mrs. Leola Sullivan of New York City, New York and Mrs.
Nettie (Ernest) Hill of Appling, Georgia; one uncle, Elijah (Denise)
Winfrey of Augusta, Georgia; two great aunts, Mrs. Luree Dunn of

I thought I saw your face today,
in the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say,
"Their work on earth is done."
I thought I heard your voice today,
then laugh your hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say,
"There's peace dear one at last."
I thought I felt your touch today,
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say,
"The spirit never dies."
I thought I saw my broken heart,
in the crescent of the moon.
And then I heard the angel say,
"The Lord is coming soon."
I thought that you had left me,
for the stars so far above.
And then 1 heard the angel say,
"They left you with their love."
I thought that I would miss you so.
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say,
"They're with you every day."
"The sun. the wind, the moon, the stars,
will forever be around,
reminding you of the love you shared,
and the peace they've finally found."
