The Obituary
Our beautiful mother, THEDOSEE VIRGINIA WILLIAMSON
transitioned from her earthly home onto the spiritual realm on
Wednesday, December l, 2021. She is the first bom of James and
Alzora Philpot, born March 3,1933 in Girard, GA. She was the
oldest of five siblings, Theodore, James, Patricia, Herbert, all of
whom preceded her in death.
Virginia attended Haines High School where she excelled in
her studies. On April 15, 1955, she married Anthony Clarence
Williamson, II and grew a loving family together over the
next thirty-nine years until Clarences death on October 5,
1994. Virginia enjoyed bible studies, teaching Sunday school,
gardening, playing bid whist, crossword puzzles, debates of
current events and fishing. Virginia was baptized at an early age
at Thankful Baptist Church and remained a faithful and devoted
member for over eighty years. She worked as a bank clerk for the
Citizens and Southern National Bank until she retired in 1987.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Vonteice
Davis, Augusta GA, Patricia (M.D) Price and Bertha Sapara-Grant,
Douglasville GA; son, Anthony Williamson (Shelleye) North
Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Akosusa Sapara-Grant Carson,
CA, Kendria Jones-Gill, Douglasville, GA, Jessie (Nafeesa)
Davis, III, Augusta GA, Aiyla Williamson, Oswego IL; Anthony
Williamson, IV, Denver CO and Julius Williamson, North Palm
Beach, FL; great grandchildren, Khaalida Wyatt, Douglasville,
GA, Kennedy Gill, Douglasville, GA, Jessie Davis, IV, Augusta,
GA, Jaiden Harris, Augusta, GA, Caiden White, Oswego IL
and Naomi Davis, Augusta, GA; great-great grandchild, Micah
Wyatt, Douglasville, GA; loyal and devoted nephew, Courtney
(Chandra) Burton; devoted cousin, Regina Scurry; special
friends, Melvenia Owens, Josie McCauley and Carrie Burton;
all the children and neighbors of Cherry Ave., whom she loved
dearly and where she resided for sixty-six years; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, relatives, godchildren,
friends and congregation members at Thankful Baptist Church
where her memory will continue to live within their hearts.
