MS. ERNESTINE "TINA" DAVIS WILLIAMS was born November 13th in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Deacon Ernest M. Davis and the late Rebie W. Davis. She was affectionately known as "Tina." Ernestine transitioned from her earthly home on December 22, 2017, at Augusta University Medical Center. One of her favorite scriptures was "Honoryourfather and your mother, as the Lordyour God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you" (Deuteronomy 5:16).
Ernestine attended Lucy Craft Laney Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1961. She matriculated at The Vocational Centers of America in which she received a nursing assistant certification in 1977. She was employed with St. Joseph Hospital as a nursing assistant in the operating room for several years. After much consideration, she left St. Joseph and began a career with the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a surgical supply technician for thirty-two years. After retiring from the V.A., she continued to work as a "Grandparent" for the Senior Citizens
Council of Richmond County. She was assigned to Lucy Craft Laney
and enjoyed her job thoroughly. The children called her "Granny." Her next job placement was with the CSRA Head Start Program, where she worked tirelessly with pre-k students.
Sister Williams accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized under the late Reverend N.T. Young of Thankful Baptist Church, until her Heavenly Father called her to eternal rest. She loved the Lord and was a faithful, diligent servant in the church. She was a member of the Mission and Usher Ministries. The role that she loved the most was working with bereaved families. She will be remembered for her servitude, kindness, and gentle heart.
Ernestine was united in holy matrimony to her high school sweetheart, the late Master Sergeant Albert Williams, and to this union they were blessed with two children.
Ernestine leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children, Dr. Tonia Yvonne Williams and Mr. Todd Maurice Williams; three granddaughters, Nia Christina Johnson, Kiana Danielle Williams and Courtney Helena Williams; brother, Ernest Walter Davis; sister, Patricia Ann Perry; a host of cousins and friends; and her dog, Izzy "Pork Chop" Williams.

HEAVEN LIT UP WITH A MIGHTY PRESENCE, AS THE ANGELS ALL LOOKED DOWN. TODAY THE LORD WAS PLACING THE JEWELS INTO MY MOTHER'S CROWN. HE HELD UP A GOLDEN CROWN, AS MY DARLING MOTHER LOOKED ON. HE SAID IN HIs GENTLE VOICE, `I WILL NOW EXPLAIN EACH ONE.' "THE FIRST GEM,' HE SAID, `Is A RUBY, AND IT'S
FOR ENDURANCE ALONE, FOR ALL THE NIGHTS YOU WAITED UP FOR YOUR CHILDREN
TO COME HOME.' `FOR ALL THE NIGHTS BY THEIR BEDSIDE, YOU STAYED TILL THE FEVER WENT DOWN. FOR NURSING EVERY LITTLE WOUND, I ADD THIS RUBY TO YOUR CROWN.' `AN EMERALD, I'LL PLACE BY THE RUBY, FOR LEADING YOUR CHILD IN THE RIGHT WAY. FOR TEACHING THEM THE LESSONS, [HAT MADE THEM WHO THEY ARE TODAY.' `FOR ALWAYS BEING RIGHT THERE, THROUGH ALL LIFE'S IMPORTANT EVENTS. I GIVE YOU A SAPPHIRE STONE, FOR THE TIME AND LOVE YOU SPENT.' `FOR UNTYING THE STRINGS THAT HELD THEM, WHEN THEY GREW UP AND LEFT HOME. I GIVE YOU THIS ONE FOR COURAGE.' THEN THE LORD ADDED A GARNET STONE. `TLL PLACE A STONE OF AMETHYST," HE SAID. `FOR ALL THE TIMES YOU SPENT ON YOUR KNEES, WHEN YOU ASKED IF I'D TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN, AND THEN FOR HAVING FAITH IN ME.' `I HAVE A PEARL FOR EVERY LITTLE SACRIFICE THAT YOU MADE WITHOUT THEM KNOWING. FOR ALL THE TIMES YOU WENT WITHOUT, TO KEEP THEM HAPPY, HEALTHY AND GROWING.' `AND LAST OF ALL I HAVE A DIAMOND, THE GREATEST ONE OF ALL, FOR SHARING UNCONDITIONAL LOVE WHETHER THEY WERE BIG OR SMALL.' `IT WAS
YOUR LOVE THAT HELPED THEM GROW FEELING SAFE AND HAPPY AND PROUD A LOVE
SO STRONG AND PURE IT COULD SHIFT THE DARKEST CLOUD.' AFTER THE LORD PLACED THE LAST JEWEL IN, HE SAID, `YOUR CROWN IS NOW COMPLETE, YOU'VE EARNED YOUR PLACE IN HEAVEN WITH YOUR CHILDREN AT YOUR FEET.'

Psalm Uinety -Chne
HE THAT DWELLETH IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH SHALL ABIDE UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY. I WILL SAY OF THE LorD, HE IS MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS: MY GOD; IN HIM WILL I TRUST. SURELY HE SHALL DELIVER THEE FROM THE SNARE OF THE FOWLER, AND FROM THE NOISOME PESTILENCE. HE SHALL COVER
THEE WITH HIS FEATHERS, AND UNDER HIS WINGS SHALT THOU TRUST: HIS TRUTH
SHALL BE THY SHIELD AND BUCKLER. THOU SHALT NOT BE AFRAID FOR THE TERROR BY NIGHT; NOR FOR THE ARROW THAT FLIETH BY DAY; NOR FOR THE PESTILENCE THAT WALKETH IN DARKNESS; NOR FOR THE DESTRUCTION THAT WASTETH AT NOONDAY. A
THOUSAND SHALL FALL AT THY SIDE, AND TEN THOUSAND AT THY RIGHT HAND; BUT
IT SHALL NOT COME NIGH THEE. ONLY WITH THINE EYES SHALT THOU BEHOLD AND SEE THE REWARD OF THE WICKED. BECAUSE THOU HAST MADE THE LORD, WHICH IS MY REFUGE, EVEN THE MOST HIGH, THY HABITATION; THERE SHALL NO EVIL BEFALL THEE, NEITHER SHALL ANY PLAGUE COME NIGH THY DWELLING. FOR HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEE, TO KEEP THEE IN ALL THY WAYS. [HEY SHALL BEAR THEE UP IN THEIR HANDS, LEST THOU DASH THY FOOT AGAINST A STONE. THOU SHALT
TREAD UPON THE LION AND ADDER: THE YOUNG LION AND THE DRAGON SHALT THOU
TRAMPLE UNDER FEET. BECAUSE HE HATH SET HIS LOVE UPON ME, THEREFORE WILL I DELIVER HIM: I WILL SET HIM ON HIGH, BECAUSE HE HATH KNOWN MY NAME. HE SHALL CALL UPON ME, AND I WILL ANSWER HIM: I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER HIM, AND HONOUR HIM. 16 WITH LONG LIFE WILL I SATISFY HIM, AND
SHEW HIM MY SALVATION.
