Reverend Otis B. Moss, III ~ Officiating
Obituary
Robert Warren Vincent, Jr., the eldest child
born to the late Robert, Sr. and Jeannie Clare Vincent, peace-
fully and quietly returned to his God and Creator on September
20, 2002.
At a very early age, Robert claimed his relationship with the
Lord Jesus Christ when he was baptized at Tabernacle Baptist
Church in Augusta, Georgia.
As a young boy, Robert attended Silas X. Floyd Elementary
School and graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School, both in
Augusta, Georgia. Following his high school graduation, he con-
tinued studying at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. In
1966, he joined the United States Air Force where he served his
country for four years with loyalty and pride. Following an hon-
orable dischage from the Air Force in 1970 with a rank of Air-
man 2nd Class, Robert was joined in Holy Matrimony to Sadie
Pearl Smith of Augusta, Georgia. This union was blessed with a
beautiful ray of sunshine, their daughter, Laura Jennetta. Later
in the 70s, Robert and his family moved to Irvington, New Jer-
sey where he resided until his death.
Robert was a lover of sports with a special affection for football.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Sadie Smith
Vincent and a loving and devoted daughter, Laura Jennetta
Vincent, both of Irvington, NJ; one brother, Robert Gordon,
Augusta, GA; two aunts, Rosa Bourgeois, Augusta, GA and
Juanita Brown, Atlanta, GA; two uncles, Oliver Vincent, Jr.,
Augusta, GA and Henry Vincent, New Orleans, LA; and a host
of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends.
