{Life Reflections}
Fredric Turner was born to Percy and Vera Turner on March 18, 1957 in Houston, TX. He attended Our
Mother of Mercy Kindergarten and went on to attend Pleasantville Elementary. Fredric began working in his
late teens on the Waterfront as a long shore man until he completed his education. He graduated High School
from Houston Technical Institute. He then enrolled at the University of Houston and obtained a degree in
Electrical Engineering. He became an entrepreneur pursuing various capacities of the sales industry before
entering full-time ministry.
Under the guidance and leadership of Bishop Richard S. Rose, Fredric Turner was baptized and ordained as
a minister. After receiving the call to ministry, he entered Texas Bible College. He then began serving in
various departments of ministry at Life Tabemacle-Cullen. While working in Fort Worth, he was ordained as
a Baptist minister under Bishop James Brown. After moving to Augusta, GA, he served as an interim Pastor
at Sharon Baptist Church. Then he attended New Life Church under the guidance and leadership of Pastors
Bryan and Rhonda Matthews before the Lord called him as the founder and pastor of City of Life Ministries
in Grove town, GA.
Apostle Turner was a man of many talents. He was a peoples person who met no stranger. He was a beloved
pastor who was truly dedicated to his calling and was always happy to serve others. He served the elderly
through Meals on Wheels. He also worked as an overseer of Joshua House Ministries where he helped to
transition lives that had been formerly incarcerated, mentally ill and abused back into productive part of
society. He served the youth through the Youth Challenge of Fort Gordon. In 2004, he started a youth
summer camp that continued every summer until 2014 to introduce children to God and stimulate their
minds with fim activities. These activities encouraged many children to give their lives to Christ. He devoted
himself to teaching Gods word, fellowship, communion and prayer, all corporate activities that provided
opportunities for sharpening others. Apostle Turner was known by many churches as the Apostle of Giving
and Receiving. He was always comical with his approach of simple words of truth that reminded everyone
of their responsibility to the kingdom.
He leaves cherished memories with the following family: his devoted wife, Gigi; two daughters, Nicole
(Wesley) Coleman and Nina Turner; three sons, Jacques, Joshua and Caleb Turner; two grandsons, Samuel
and Josiah Coleman; mother-in-love, Gwendolyn Gibson; brother-in-law, Toney (Flobell) Collier; sister-in-
law Beulah Turner; two sisters, Paulette (Terry) Dugar and Mary Bess Williams; two brothers, Rodney and
Paul Turner; four God children, Joseph Jackson, Bryan (BJ) Bergos, Donquarius (DQ) Rhodes and Malachi
Lewis; the family matriarch, Rosemary Curry; brother-in-love, Joseph Gigalo Gallien and a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Vera Turner, his
brother, Percy Turner Jr, and his sister, Jacqueline Turner Riasco.

My Beloved Boo,
Over 26 years ago God brought a Texas gent and a Georgia peach together in a place called Gaithersburg, Maryland. We
were there to learn how to evangelize the world for Jesus, but ended up creating a bond that lead to an everlasting love.
Although we did have some bad days, I am excited to say our good days far outweighed the bad. Every time life presented us
a lemon, God helped us to make lemonade.
I admired your leadership skills and ability to challenge anyone beyond what they saw in themselves. I always told you I
married a dreamer. Your motto was, I am building a city to influence a city. Although it wasnt a city built with brick and
mortar, I watched you continuously, and many times tirelessly build up and instruct people. Your love and passion for
individuals helped to change and influence countless lives. You were always so willing and wanted to help anyone that had a
story. From the very beginning of our journey, you were always opening up our home to numerous people trying to help
build and influence others. Although to some you were The Apostle, Pastor, Brother Fred, Uncle Fred, Frog, Dad, Pops and
to some just plain Fred, you will always be my Boo
I love and will miss you much!

Dad, even though you are no longer here, I still feel your presence is with me. I know you are still here with us, protecting
us and still praying for us. Ill miss you dad, but at the same time, I know a piece of you is still with me and will always be
there.

I want to say that you were a positive, influential, motivating force in my life. You named me at birth and helped raise me
as well. During the course of my life, you have always been there for me no matter what. Im going to miss playing
dominoes & talking trash. You were a great father, brother, husband, and friend. You taught me that its a blessing to be a
blessing to others and would never hesitate to help anyone. You will be truly missed and loved. I can say that the home
team has added another angel to the roster. For the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Rest Easy Unc.

- Tributes of Love -
My father was one of the greatest men in the world. I'm not just saying that because he passed, but because it's true. He was a great father not
just to me and my siblings, but to hundreds of people around the globe, young and old. He never turned his back on anyone, always wanting to
help, always keeping our home open for anyone no matter their situation. An amazing husband to my mother, he taught me how to treat
women and how a real man is obligated to handle his responsibilities. A real man never steps out on or abandons his family. He wasn't just
present in my life, but he was active as well. He was like my best friend who could whoop or scold if need be. He helped me through many
different aspects in life whether it be helping me through college or speaking on my behalf in the courtroom. He was an amazing leader, the
apostle of City of Life Ministries, a great shepherd to his sheep, a real pillar of the community, being a helper and a life coach to many people.
He wasn't one to sit back and let things happen; he was someone who would go out and make things happen. He gave his all in everything he
did. He wouldn't just share his riches with you, but revealed your own riches in yourself. He knew not only how to lead, but also how to
follow. He knew how to get the best out of a person by going to what was best in him. He was a real visionary man; he saw things in people
nobody else could see. He would often say "one of my sons will be a millionaire, and the other a preacher." It saddens me that he couldn't see
his vision in the natural, but he will see it in the spirit. Even under the circumstances I'm in, I know he will be proud of me in due time. He
always told me he believed in me and knew I was destined for greatness. I just have to overcome my adversities because things turn out best
for those who make the best of the way things turn out. He always told me "you can't change at the snap of a finger. It takes time." You cannot
dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself into one. Even though others may not have high expectations for me,
I've always had high expectations for myself. He never stopped believing and I will make him proud. Even though I lost my father I finally
gained my guardian angel. He may be gone, but never forgotten. I love you Dad and you will definitely be missed by all of us. So let us not sit
back in grief and fear but look forward in happiness because he is now with our heavenly father.

To my beloved Father:
I am so grateful for the man that you were and the woman you made me to be. You prayed for me, you named me, you raised me, and you
were my first love. You didn't always say it, but you definitely showed through your actions that you truly loved me. You supported me
wholeheartedly, even when I chose to do what I wanted to do. And when you were proven to be right about things, you never hesitated to say 'I
told you so.' Now that I'm older, I know that you just had my best interest at heart and that you knew more about me than I knew about myself.
I thank you so much for just being there for me. I never took for granted having you present in my life. Every single time I needed something
you always did all you could to make sure your baby girl was taken care of. I now am at peace knowing that you have made it to your heavenly
home; everything in this world is temporary. "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal [2 Corinthians 4:18]." You taught me that our souls are what matters the most and yours was truly golden. So I'm
full of joy knowing that you're finally getting your crown of eternal life and I know you will continue to watch over me. I love you so much

A Poem for My Father
You came into my life, when I needed support.
My mom had just passed, cancer cut her life short.
Never had a father before you, so the adjustment was real,
but you took me in as your own and helped me heal.
16 years old, sassy and grown, talking back really reckless... not to mention "Teen Hormones"...
But you loved me through it all because you made a vow to my mother, you treated me just like your biological daughter...
You made sure I graduated from high school, you cheered me on in the crowd... when I decided to pursue acting, you were supportive and
proud...
You believed in me, just like a father should, you prepared me for life and a demanding adulthood. I'm so glad my mom Susie, left me in
your care,
I gained another God given mother and a father that shared, his love and his time to ensure I was my best, and now my dear father, it's time
for you to rest... You fulfilled your purpose here on earth, and led souls to Christ
You advised, you pastored, you prayed, you gave with a heart of sacrifice. I imagine your mansion in heaven is filled with so much laughter
reunited with friends and family, a true happily ever after!
Enjoy your true home father and those beautiful gold paved roads. Your legacy will continue to live on, stories of you, will always be told.
So, until we meet again Dad, I thank you for helping to raise me, now youre pain free and happy and with the Lord God Almighty!
