He attended public school in Richmond County, Georgia and graduated from Lucy C.Laney _ -
High School in 1965. He attended Augusta Technical College and receiveda Certificate in

Electrical Maintenance. He also attended Georgia Military College and America Baptist

Theological Seminary.

He enjoyed his calling to the ministry: preaching, teaching, singing, and love for God's people. He pastored the following churches: Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Beech Island, South
Carolina; Live River Baptist Church, Gracewood, Georgia; Second Mount Moriah Baptist
Church, Harlem, Georgia; Water Branch Baptist Church, Grovetown, Georgia; and Mount
Olive Baptist Church, Evans, Georgia until his death (thirty-seven years).
