TORY MARKIESE SAPP departed this life on Friday, July 14, 2017. Tory was the son of Rosalyn
Sapp and Willie James (Feme) Sapp. Tory was born February 5,1975 in Augusta, Georgia. He was
a member of First Providence Baptist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. He graduated
from Westside High School in Augusta, Georgia in 1993. He continued his education at Savannah
State University and Benedict College. Tory was a barber by trade.
Tory departed this life at 12:50 P.M. surrounded by his pastor, family and friends. Although it
was unexpected, Torys relationship with God gives comforting peace. He was a doting father
and loyal friend. He was a great chess player, always humble, and had a giving spirit. He would
always listen, advise and support his family and friends. No matter what the doctors told him, he
still had faith to the end that God would heal him. Torys signature smile and kind words were
his trademark.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Searcy and Tom Bennett; and his aunt,
Erlene Coleman.
He leaves to forever cherish his fond memories: his mother, Rosalyn Sapp, Augusta, Georgia;
father, Willie James (Feme) Sapp, Covington, Georgia; son, Tory M. Sapp, Jr., Lancaster, South
Carolina; daughter, Aaliyah Sapp, Lancaster, South Carolina; godson, Caleb Mickens, Atlanta,
Georgia; fiance, Dominique DAntignac; brother, Wynton Sapp, Covington, Georgia; sister, Nicole
(Jason) Thomas, Covington, Georgia; grandmothers, Ruby Bennett, Augusta, Georgia and Annie
Mae Searcy, Logansville, Georgia; uncles, Tom Bennett, Augusta, Georgia, Kelvin Searcy, Barry
Searcy, Timothy Searcy, Newark, New Jersey, Lloyd Crawford, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and
Wade Stallings, Atlanta, Georgia; aunts, Sallie (Lurie) Bennett, Betty Jean Young, Aiken, South
Carolina, Florine Stallings, Aiken, South Carolina, Luester Smith, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,

support and acts of kindness that were shown during our time of bereavement. We are especially
thankful for the Hillwood and First Providence Community, those who encouraged us with
special prayers, phone calls, cards, visits, monetary gifts, food, and other thoughtful expressions
