A CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF
A Time To Be Born: Ms. Deborah Jean Sanford, the
daughter of the late Willie and Louise Burnett, and the
granddaughter of the late Hollie and Mary Evans, was
born October 28,1955 in Richmond County, Georgia.
A Time To Depart: She departed into eternal rest on
Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospice &
Palliative Care center in Orlando, Florida.
A Time To Plant: She was educated in Richmond County.
She attended Ursula Collins Elementary and graduated
from T.W. Josey Comprehensive High School in 1973. She
attended two years of college at Augusta State University
and later graduated from Augusta Technical College with
a degree in Practical Nursing. At an early age, she was
converted and baptized at the Corinth Baptist Church,
McBean, Georgia. She worked faithfully at University
Hospital as a LPN and retired after thirty-three years of
service. Her favorite pastime was watching the Atlanta
Braves and she was their #1 fan. She loved God, her family
and spending time with her many friends. Deborah had a
sweet spirit, always smiling, and always willing to serve.
A Time To Heal: She leaves to cherish her memory: two
sisters, Marjorie (Samuel) Howe of Hephzibah, Georgia
and Cynthia Walker of Harvey, Louisiana; devoted aunt,
Mary (Deacon Willie) Walker of Augusta, Georgia;
devoted nephews, Marcus (Tangi) Sanford of Thomson,
Georgia, Jarius (Saudia) Howe of Hephzibah, Georgia and
Joshua Walker of Harvey, Louisiana; loving nieces, Tabitha
Walker and Michelle Walker, both of Harvey, Louisiana;
beloved great-aunt, Hattie Ballard of Miami, Florida;
godchildren, Alicia (Deacon Morris) Jones of Augusta,
Georgia and Kristen Dunbar of Martinez, Georgia; and a
host of loving, special family and life-long friends.

Dont spend too much
TIME IN MOURNING.
Tears are for the sad. I left
to be with Jesus, and
THIS SHOULD MAKE YOU GLAD.
Dont waste your
HOURS IN GRIEVING.
NO NEED TO FEEL DISTRESS.
IM TIRED OF LIFES FRUSTRATIONS,
AND HAD TO GET SOME REST.
Dont vex yourself with
QUESTIONS, OR TRY TO REASON WHY.
Life here for me was ended;
IT CAME MY TIME TO DIE.
Dont lose the love I gave you;
FEED IT WITH YOUR CARE.
Grow it with devotion and
SPREAD IT EVERYWHERE.
Dont fret because my leaving
CAME IN SUCH A WAY.
Well have another meeting,
Day!
