OBITUARY
Mrs. Leazie Gomillion Ruffin was bora January 12, 1896
in Burke County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late
John and Susie Gomillion. She met and married die Jay Holi-
day Ruffin of that marriage three children were bom, two (2)
daughters and one (1) son. She was converted at an early age
and was baptized at the Fellowship Baptist Church. She later
moved to Waynesboro, Georgia and reunited with Thomas
Grove Baptist Church where she served with the Usher Board
for many years and later joined the choir. She served faithful-
ly until her health began to fail her. She moved to Augusta,
Georgia and remained there until the Master called her home
to rest on Friday, December 10, 1976 at University Hospital.
She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Mari-
etta Pringle, Mrs. Josephine Lee; one son, Mr. John Ruffin,
Sr. J. C.; one grand child, Mr. John Ruffin, Jr of Augusta,
Georgia; five great grand children; one son-in-law, Philmore
Pringle, South Carolina, Mrs. Mary Ruffin, Jersey City, N.
J.; one grand daughter-in-law, Mrs. Judy Ruffin of Augusta
Georgia; two step grand sons, Mr. Hawthorne and Sammy
Joe Lee and a host of relatives and friends.
A voice at midnight came and she started up the hill. A mor-
tal arrow peirced her frame, she fell but felt no fear.
Sleep on dear mother, someday we will meet again.
