Margaret Parramore was born on July 20, 1951, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie and Margaret Parramore, in Augusta, Georgia. She was the youngest daughter of four children. She transitioned from labor to reward at Augusta University Health on Friday, September 3, 2021, after a brief illness.
Margaret was a product of the Richmond County School System, graduating from Lucy Craft Laney High School. After graduating from Laney, she studied Child Care Growth and Development at Augusta Tech (now Augusta Technical College). After graduation, she moved to Atlanta and worked in Child Care for thirty-five years. She retired from the Employee Child Care Center at Southern Regional Medical Center.
Margaret accepted Christ at an early age and joined Trinity C.M.E. Church. She was active in the CYF, Bible School, and even sang in the Children's Choir. When Margaret moved to Atlanta, she attended several churches but finally found her niche at Faith Walk Ministries, Inc. in Clayton County, Georgia. There she participated in several ministries including the Greeters Ministry and The Morning Glory Ministry. She received her Deacon's License and preached her first sermon at Faith Walk Ministries.
She moved back to Augusta in 2010 because of health challenges and to be closer to her family. She reconnected with Trinity C.M.E. Church, her home church. At Trinity, she volunteered as a member of the Bulletin Committee, the Koinonia Ministry, and organized the Jeffrey R. Thomas Toy Drive at Trinity Manor Apartments. In 2013, she graduated from the Interdenominational Theological Center with a Certificate of Theology. In 2014, she was recognized for her community service by Church Women United. She organized the Greeters Ministry and served as a greeter until she received her Local Preacher's license at the Quarterly Conference, November 2015 at Trinity C.M.E. Church. She also taught Bible Study.
At the Georgia North Region Annual Conference in Fort Valley, Georgia, she was assigned to pastor at Rock of Ages C.M.E. Church, Augusta, Georgia. In 2018 she was ordained Deacon and was elected as a Delegate to the C.M.E. General Conference. In July 2019, she was ordained Elder and was assigned to pastor at Woodlawn C.M._E. Church, Harlem, Georgia. She retired from Woodlawn C.M.E. Church in 2020 because of health issues.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: two sisters, Lucretia P. Brown, and Mary B. Duboise, both of Augusta, Georgia; one niece, Patricia Duboise of Snellville, Georgia; one nephew, Roscoe "Rocky" (Sharee) Brown, II of Augusta, Georgia; one great-niece, Brianna Simmons of Hephzibah, Georgia; devoted adopted nephew and niece, Eddie and Nichole Furse and Family of Augusta, Georgia; adopted god-sister, Francena Nixon of Martinez, Georgia; special friend and confidante, Gene Thomas of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of extended family, cousins, friends, and church members.

"To Those Ol ham oo:Love and Shose OlOhe Love We :
When I am gone, release me, let me go. Ihave so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourseltfo me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is timeI traveled on alone. So grievefor me awhile, ifgrieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It is only for awhile that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't befar away for life goes on. And ifyou need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near. And ifyou listen with your heart, you'll hear, All my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home."
