The Mountain

Today 1 climbed a mountain, Every step I take with care;

The summit o f the hillside and The valley dark and deep.

And when I reached the summit; I discovered God was there.

The shadows and the sunlight Making patterns every new.

I heard Him in the rushing wind, I saw Him in the sky,

Yes, all these wonders I could see As 1 beheld the view!

1 watched His artistry at work As white cloud drifted by.

My heart was filled with gratitude As I was standing there;

I felt His touch as sunbeams bright The wealth o f love within my soul

Fell warm upon myface;

Made me a millionaire.

1 gazed in wonder at His words,

Each in its proper place-

When trials and troubles seem tofall

Like raindropsfrom above,

The trees, the grass, the lofty heights, come with me to a mountain top

The rocks so rough and steep,

Andfind a new God's love!
