Obituary
On March 25, 2022, God called an angel home, and her name was Ms. Betty Jean Myers. She as born on August 16, 1960, to Elisabeth Burris
and the late Oscar Burris in Augusta, Georgia.
Ms. Myers was a graduate of the Lucy C. Laney Class of 1978. Soon after graduating, she furthered her education at Augusta Technical School. She then went on to work at Augusta University, where she
later retired.
She remained in Augusta for the duration of her life. In her down time, she enjoyed thrifting and going to the flea markets. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, those who preceded her in death were: her brother, Jermaine Myers; and her aunt, Linda Myers.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are: mother, Elisabeth Burris; brother, George (Tiffany) Myers; sisters, Patricia Burris and Wanda Myers; aunties, Helen Allen, Jeannette Myers, and Janet Stevens; significant other, Sellous Thomas; best friend, Ronald Tolbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
