REVEREND HOWARD HARDEN, III
Committal
LUCRETIA HARDEN MILLER born April 24,
1930 in Millen, Georgia to the late Howard and Tena
Harden. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday,
September 16, 2020.
Lucretia received her education from the Millen
School System. She was a member of Belle Terrace
Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia, where she
was an active participant on many church ministries
until her health began to fail.
At an early age she married the late Robert Spence.
From this union two children were born, Betty Harrell
and Marion Spence. Years later she married the late
John Miller. To this union one child was born,
Johnetta Odutayo.
After twenty plus years of faithful service she retired
from the Richmond County Board of Education as a
Para Professional. During her retirement she enjoyed
traveling abroad to include a very special place, Paris,
France.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Johnetta
Odutayo and siblings, Howard Harden, Jr., Robert
Harden, Earnest Harden and Annie Harden-Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Betty
(Otis) Harrell; son, Marion (Linda) Spence;
step-daughter, Dorothy Miller; sisters, Mariah Lee,
Willie Mae Johnson, Juanita Fleming and Tena
Barnes; brothers, Julius (Catherine) Harden and
Johnny Paul Harden; nine grandchildren; and a host of
great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Acknowledgements
We, the family of Lucretia Miller, wish to express our
sincere appreciation to all of you who helped to ease
the pain during our bereavement. May God's
continued blessing be upon you.
