Quest
I had wanted Carthly things: Wealth and love and fame, Joy that only pleasure brings,
Life without a Claim As a Child 1sought afar Smooth the way by deep the scar Had 1known the sham of Power, Youth would have remained Ever fresh and pure in flower And my heart unchained. But renown was nowhere near, Riches, false as Pride.
