Obituary
Jaunique Lakisha Madison Bom on October 15. 1969 in Newark, New Jersey to
Sonja Madison and Jessie Reddick (Mustapha). Jaunique departed her earthly body
on July 20. 2016. she lived in New Jersey for the first 21 years of her life. At some
time she moved to New York which is where she lived for the remainder of her life. ||
She attended Grammar School and High School in East Orange. New Jersey. At 7
years old, her exceptionally high IQ was discovered and she was classified by John
Hopkins University as being gifted and attended their Gifted Scholar Program.
After graduating from High School Jaunique attended Centenary College
(all girls private college in NJ), on a full scholarship, she completed her Bachelors
Degree in Accounting at York College (CUNY), and graduated Cum Laudc in 2006,
and her Masters in 2010 from Queens College, CUNY.
Jaunique was employed at North shore Long Island Jewish Hospital /
Northwcll Health for over 15 years as a Specialist in Day Training.
Growing up in New Jersey. Jaunique was raised in a very family orientat-
ed environment. Being the first grandchild she received a lot of attention from
Grand Ma. Jauniques grandmother inspired her to play the clarinet and she learned
read and write music. Jaunique was also fluent in Spanish. Her grandmother made
sure she kept up with all her lessons, and purchased her first Clarinet.
Just as Jauniques little brother Abdul, she took such good care of him and |
protected him. She would leave her school, walk six long blocks, to pick him up
from his mid-day kindergarten dismissal and then return to back to her school, not
once did she complain, she did it with a smile because she loved him and knew
family was essential.
She had a special bond with her cousins (who were like sisters and broth-
ers to her), as with her aunts and uncles which was immeasurable.
Jaunique was the type of person you could count on. When you saw her
coming, you had to break out in a smile. The inner beauty she held just lit up a
room. You felt her energy and kindness, it was contagious. She projected an empa-
thetic spirit and always gave of herself. No she was not an Angel. Angel have no
free will, they do only as instructed by God. She was more than an Angel she was
human. As a human being she had tree will, to do, or not to do. She was one of
Gods special people on earth: it was her will to do for others.
She leaves the remembrance of love to. her mother Sonja Valeria Madi-
son. son Mohammad Konc. brother Abdul Sharif Akbar Madison, Grandmother
Dorothy King. Aunts; Sharice Madison. Carmen Madison-Gray (Maurice Gray),
Great Aunts: Shirley Walker. Dolores Waltower (Archie Waltowcr), Minerva
Rhancy, an uncle Abdul Malik Muhammad (Rashcedah Muhammad), a host of
cousins, nephews and nieces, special friends such as Nadine Ihomas, Barbara San-
ford, Zachary Jones (Moms fiance), and a very' special companion Roderick
McClain and a multitude of loving friends.
Though her phy sical body is gone, she is forever with us in spirit.

1 Corinthians 13New International Version (NIV)
13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am
only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophe-
cy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a
faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I
give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may
boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they wilt cease; where
there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will
pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when
completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I
talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I
became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see
only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know
in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of
these is love.
