On a lovely, warm spring morning "Faye" transitioned to meet her Savior! It was Wednesday, May 6, 2024, when God said "come home my child". Bonita "Faye" Colston-Leverette was born on September 3, 1957, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Hospital, Fort Gordon, Georgia to her proud parents, Oscar and Bernice Colston-Graham. During her earliest years, Faye and her mother moved to New York where her mother practiced as a Registered Nurse. About the age of 12 years, Faye and her mother relocated to Augusta, Georgia in order to be available to aid in the care of family members and to start a new life in a new community, the Bethlehem Historic District. The community was a welcoming and interesting community, where Faye made life-time friends. The Tutt-Wiley branches of Faye's family were anchored to the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church for well over a century as their spiritual home. So it was natural for Faye and her mother to be united spiritually with the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church. Their affiliation with Tabernacle was lifelong and provided a wealth of spiritual support. Faye was a woman of faith and exemplified her beliefs in her interactions with family, friends and strangers alike. Faye was a "show-up" friend. She was the ride to the hospital to deliver your first child, the person you could call late at night to share a stressful situation, the friend that you'd choose to be your maid of honor... that was Faye! One of her favorite verses, found in her notes, can be found in Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God". Faye approached life with a pure and loving heart and was a blessing to many. Upon moving to Augusta, Faye was enrolled into A.R. Johnson Middle School and attended Lucy C. Laney Comprehensive High School. Faye was very active during her high school years and enjoyed every moment! During her senior year she "ran" all year to win the award for best dressed. Her mom had an extraordinary gift for sewing and vowed to help her daughter to win. As a result, Faye never wore an outfit twice for an entire school year! So, there was no su rprise when she was named, Best Dressed, Class of '75! Faye was married in 1986 to Willie Lee Leverette and to that union two girls were born, Bianca and BriAna, She loved her girls unconditionally! She was a doting mother and you'd see the girls dressed immaculately! She simply poured everything she had into her girls and invested to lead and guide them along the way. Faye felt that her position as mother was her most im portant job! Faye was a conscientious worker. She had several jobs, among them she worked as a Paraprofessional in the Richmond County Public School System and in later years she was employed as a Corrections Officer until her health failed her. An only child, she was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Colston and Bernice Tutt ColstonGraham. Her memory is survived by an abundance of relatives and friends: her daughters, Bianca Leverette of Stone Mountain, Georgia and BriAna Leverette of Augusta, Georgia. Three grandchildren, on which she doted, Rihanna Patterson, Jayden Mendoza, and Sunni Gerard. An array of cousins, and dear friends: Amy Tutt-Ashe, Elaine Norman Sturkey of Fairburn, Georgia,
Henrietta Coard, Pauline Coard, Connie Eason-Stokes, Potice Wimberly, and too many others
to name.

But most importantly, loved me unconditionally There are not enough words I can say To describe just how important my mother was to me And what a powerful influence she continues to be..
