"To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
A Time To Be Born: David Lee Kennedy was born to the late Arthur Kennedy and the late Mirte Armstrong Kennedy, April 5, 1936 in Conecuh County Alabama. God called him home from laboring to receive his reward on Saturday, May 20, 2017, with his family gathered at his side. David attended the Conecuh County Public Schoo! system for his formal education. David joined the 2 Marietta Baptist Church of Castleberry, Alabama as a youngster and served there while in the
area. Deacon Kennedy relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio as a young man, and in 1965 he relocated to Staten Island, NY. David was employed by the City of New York Health and Hospital Corporation as an Engineer. His work location was at Seaview Hospital, Staten Island, NY. He was certified through the IUOE Local 30 in air conditioning. Deacon Kennedy retired in 1997 after 37 years of meritorious service. On September 20, 1970, David was married to the love of his life the former Reather Bell Moody at the Saint Phillis Baptist Church of Staten Island, NY. In the year of 1999, he connected with the former New Zealand Baptist Church (First New Canaan Baptist Church of Augusta, GA) under the leadership of Reverend Reather Kennedy. There he served as a Walking Deacon. In 2002 he was ordained as a Deacon. He served as Chairman Board of Deacons at First New Canaan Baptist Church since 2002. "Deac" as he was called could be
found cutting grass, vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, even ironing table cloths. Deacon Kennedy was always faithful and loyal to his call. David loved his children and he loved all children, he always went to their defense. Not only did "Deac" love children, they loved him. There are many here today who called him dad, pop, daday, deac, even unc. His hobbies were: His family; he love to go fishing, visiting friends and playing cards. He was busy at all times, any things his hands found to do, he did. A Time To Mourn: David leaves a cherish legacy to his wife, Reather of 47 years. Clohen Tamarraw Starts Clithout Ne" When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; | wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say.
| know how much you love me, As much as| love you, And each time that you think of me, | know you will miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
That God called my name, and took me by the hand.
And said my place was ready, in heaven far above, And that | would have to leave behind all those that | dearly loved
But as | turn to walk away, a tear fell from my eye for all my life,
| always thought, | didn't want to die.
| had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, It almost seemed impossible, that | was leaving you. But when | walked through Heaven's gates, | felt so much at home. Then God look down and smiled at me, from his great golden throne.
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we are far apart,
For every time you think of me, | am right here, in your heart.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, we were knocked to our knees, but you were there. Lord! We cried so many tears, but you were there. We have called out to the Lord for strength, but you were there! In our hour of deepest sorrow, you, our friends were there, you supported and held us up, for this we thank you. For all that you have done we thank you. We acknowledge that we could not have made it without you. Special thanks to our program participants and prayer warriors around the country. May God bless each one of you and restore to you all you have given to this family.
`Thank you, Reverend Reather Kenedy & Family
