On September 17, 2010, Pastor Luther H. Jones, Jr. answered the
call of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and went home to be with
Him. Pastor Jones was bom in Augusta, GA on March 31, 1959, to
the late Mr. & Mrs. Luther H. and Willie Belle Jones.
He was united in marriage to Rosalyn C. Vaughns on February 26,
1983. With this union three children were bom: Luther, Isaiah, &
Mikayla.
Pastor Jones accepted the Lord on July 26, 1989 under the late
Pastor Arlene Williams at Pure Gospel Holiness Church. In
January 2001 he founded New Beginnings Christian Center The
fast growing spirit-filled church in the CSRA in which the vision
will continue to go forward.
In October 2005 he was welcomed into the covenant family of the
Association of Independent Ministries (A.I.M) under the
leadership of Bishop I.V. and Dr. Bridget Hilliard.
He was proceeded in death by two siblings: Luther Brown and
Pamela Frank.
He leaves to celebrate his life: a very devoted wife, Rosalyn V.
Jones, two sons, Luther (Lisa) Jones, III, Fort Lauderdale, FL.;
Isaiah C. Jones, one daughter, Mikayla T. Jones, both of Augusta,
GA.; & two adopted children, Jeremiah & Jamayiah Bradley, two
grandchildren, Jacob & Gabryele Jones, Fort Lauderdale, FL.; five
sisters, Peggy Stokes, Margot Owens, Rhodia Bradley, & Pearl
Jones, all of Augusta, GA.; and Rosemary (Pastor William)
Oatman, of Bethlehem, PA.; a devoted brother-in-law, Trent
Frank, Atlanta, GA.; one uncle, Ray Garrett, Louisville, GA.; three
aunts, Harridell Bright, Lawtey, FL.; Eva Jean Evans, Louisville,
GA.; & Donna Jean Miller, Cincinnati, OH.; mother-in-law, Alice
Vaughns, three sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, devoted friend,
Henrietta Lewis Burnett, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
friends, and most importantly the New Beginnings Christian
Center Family.
Daddy,
We cant fully express with words the righteous impact that youve
had on our lives. We are honored to be the children of such a great
soldier of the faith. Thank you for the foundation that youve laid.
We will continue to build upon that foundation until we see the
vision God has given you come to full fruition. And even then we
will press even further to ensure that we fulfill the purpose of God.
We will forever carry on the torch that was lit by the fire of your
life.
