-MAUDE G. "MOSS" JENKINS, 92, of Augusta, GA, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in University Hospital. She was born November 22, 1928, in McBean, Georgia to the late Judge Gardenhire and Georgia Jennings.
She grew up as a student at Nixon School, in McBean, GA. She was baptized at Fielding Springs Baptist Church at an early age and later became a disciple of Cummings Grove Baptist Church, under the late Reverend H.B. Bady and current pastor Reverend N. Ross. She was a devoted choir member and auxiliary member.
Maude worked as a domestic worker for many years, for several doctors and business owners in the Augusta area. She later retired from MCG as a Surgical Technician. She spent her retirement years doing the things she loved most -- praising God, time with family,
working in the yard, decorating, cooking, and dressing
up. Maude will be remembered for her spiritual words, songs, quick rhymes, sense of humor, smile, and marked impression she left on all she met.
She is survived by: her ex-husband, Robert L. Jenkins, Sr.; children, Delores (Scotty) Netter, Robert (Terrie) Jenkins, Jr., Andrew (Valerie) Jenkins, Dianne (David) Johnson and Debra (Reginald) Barner; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a_ host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We, the family of Maude Jenkirfs, deeply appreciate and gratefully acknowledge your kind expressions of sympathy. There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt thanks for your support.
