Mrs. Lena Eagle Ivey, was bom in Handcock County on
January 1, 1926 to the late Jessie and Rose Eagle. Mrs.
Ivey entered into eternal peace Sunday, May 9, 2021 at
Pruitt Health-Augusta Hills.
At an early age, Mrs. Ivey accepted Christ and was
baptized at Trinity AME Church in Jewell, GA. The family
moved to Augusta, GA where Mrs. Ivey became a member
of Williams Memorial CME Church serving on the ushers
board for many years.
Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper
Ivey; three sons, Willie Ivey, Wayne Ivey, Sr. and Louis
Ivey.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted and loving
daughter, Mrs. Gloria Ivey Freeman, a devoted grandson,
Karlos Birt, Sr., both of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of
grandchildren; great grandchildren, a God-granddaughter
nieces, nephews, and other relatives and devoted friends.
My Dear Mother
Not having you here is a heartache no one can heal, but the
love I will always have for you leaves a memory no one can
steal. If roses are in heaven, may the Lord pick a bunch for
me and place them in your arms mother and tell you
theyre from Me.
