OBITUARY
Semion Lee Harris was born June 21, 1912 in
Augusta,Georgia. He was baptized in this
Church by the late,Rev. R. W. Mack.
Semion was a constant attendent here in his
early youth. He was a quiet person with few
words. He was ambitous toward a higher educat-
ion, and he worked to help himself achieve
this goal.
He graduated from High School Year 1933.
Illness over come him shortly afterwards. But
even while in the hospital h" kept up his
Christian Spirit, and carried his Bible with
him in his pocket. He often asked about his
Church.
Everyone who knew him liked him the child-
ren and the elderly people at the hospital.
The nurses at the hospital in Washington
also liked him. He never complained about his
illness and when he passed the nurses were
in tears.
Semion never hurt anyone. He left us July-
9th 1975 at D. C, General Hospital in Washin-
gton. He is now with God and his beloved
parents, who were one of the founders of this
Church, and whom he often asked about.

So we may know God better And feel his
Quiet power. Let us daily keep in
Silence.
A meditation Hour for to understand
Gods greatness.
And to us his gifts each day
The soul must learn to meet him.
In a meditative way
For our Father tells his children
That if they would know his will
They must seek him in the silence.
When all is calm and still
For Natures greatest forces
Are found in quiet things
Like softly falling showflakes
Drifting down on Ang.el's wings
Or petals dropping- -soundlessly
From a lovely full-blown rose
So God comes closest to us
When our souls are in repose.
