Fred (Hop) Harrison, Jr. was born in Ellenton, South Carolina on June 16,
1944 to the late Fred and Beatrice Harrison Sr. He moved to Beech Island,
South Carolina then to Augusta, Georgia in 1952.
At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Elim Baptist
Church.
His education was received in Columbia County at John Pierce Blanchard
High School. At the young age of 12, he began working as a caddie. He
would later become employed with, The Augusta Country Club, The Am
gusta National and Graniteville Company. In 1976, he served as Raymond
Floyds caddie, as he went on to win the Masters Tournament that year. He
received the Reynolds Caddie Medal in 2002 and is pictured in the April
2007 Golf Digest. Fred also worked for Banks Van Rental for 34 years.
One sister, Sally B. Reynolds; and one brother, James Harrison, preceded
him in death.
To celebrate and cherish the memories of his life he leaves: wife, Betty B.
Harrison; daughter, Stephanie H. (James) Neal; two sons, Frederick (Lisa)
Harrison, and Darnell Harrison, all of Augusta, Georgia; one brother, Miller
F. (Janice) Harrison of Brooklyn, New York; one sister, Emma Magaline
Eubanks of Augusta, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Rodrecus Martin,
Dominque Ellis, LaToya Stevens, Randi Brown, Shonta Harrison, Ashley
Harrison, Tanesha Neal, Langley Neal, Randal Harrison; seven great'
grandchildren, Justice, Summer, Khloe, Aaliyah, Jordyn, Jace and Chace;
mother and father-in law, Sam (Bertha) Singleton; two sister-in-laws, Pa-
tricia Harrison and Rosemary (Jason) Beard; four brother-in-laws, Joe
Johnson, Willie (Josie) Barksdale, Isaiah (Diane) Barksdale, and Kenneth
BarksdalqHxlendedTamily)Mr. & Mrs. Bobby Banks, Buzzy (Lauren)
Banks, William, Dwight, Lee, and Robert Banks, Tom (Angie) Banks; a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Not a day passes by that you dont
cross our mind. Not all of you de-
parted when you left earth behind.
For in our hearts there is a place that
only you can hold. Filled with our
loving memories we care more for
than gold. We know that you still
hear us so please know this is true,
that everything We are today is all
