Only One Step
Do not grieve fo r me my dear ones, Now that I have gone away.
I have only stepped quietly through the door Into the dawn o f a brighter day. I f you could see the beauty,
O f the garden I am walking through, I f you couldfeel the touch o fHis hand,
You would want to walk here too. I f you could see the sunshine,
With no dark shadows lurking near, I f you could know the jo y supreme,
1fin d with my Lord so dear Where no sorrow can never be You would be glad I slipped away, To this beautiful land o f eternity.
I'll be watching day by day And I will ask my Father to guide you,
Lest you falter along the way. So when the day is over,
And the night is drawing nigh, I pray you too, fin d it only a step Where walk my precious Lord and 1.
