HOMEGOING SERVICE FOR
Farewell my family, dont weep
For Im at peace now, just asleep.
Farewell my family, Im not alone.
The Mighty Maker has led me safely home.
Just think back over the many years,
How the family seemed so strong, holding back tears.
Yet God somehow always made a way
and I thanked Him every night for another day.
Be good my family, always love each other.
Be strong my family, strong in heart.
The blood ties, no one can ever part.
And if somewhere I made a mistake
As YOU LIVE MANY WILL YOU MAKE.
Farewell my family, Ive been called away.

When i am gone, just release me, let me go -
So I CAN MOVE INTO MY AFTERGLOW.
You mustnt tie me down with your tears;
Lets be happy that we had so many years.
I GAVE YOU MY LOVE, YOU CAN ONLY GUESS
HOW MUCH YOU GAVE ME IN HAPPINESS.
I THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE YOU EACH HAVE SHOWN,
But now its time I traveled on alone.
So GRIEVE FOR ME A WHILE, IF GRIEVE YOU MUST,
Then let your grief be comforted with trust.
Its only for a while that we must part,
So BLESS THE MEMORIES WITHIN YOUR HEART.
And THEN, WHEN YOU MUST COME THIS WAY ALONE,
Ill greet you with a smile and a Welcome Home.
Words are too inadequate to express our sincere appreciation
for all of the expressions of condolences extended to us during
our bereavement. May God richly bless you. 'The Family

MRS. MARY HELEN BAXTER FREEMAN was born August
20, 1927 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late William and
Catherine Butler Baxter.
At an early age, she was converted and baptized at Second
Baptist Church, Aiken, South Carolina under the Reverend
Jesse Miles. Later, she joined her late husband, Henri Freeman,
in membership at Elim Baptist Church.
Mrs. Freeman attended the public schools of Aiken County,
South Carolina and Richmond County in Georgia. She was a
graduate of Haines Normal and Industrial Institute and Paine
College, both in Augusta, Georgia. She did further study at
Teachers College of Columbia University, Augusta College,

Mrs. Freeman, a quiet, loyal, and dedicated member of Elim
Baptist Church, sang in the sanctuary choir and served as
treasurer for many years. One of her favorite songs was, Im
Learning to Lean on Him. She regularly attended the Golden
Ages Ministry.
She possessed acuity in precision and exactness, always
wanting things to be done in decency and in order. Peace
and calmness were always her goals. During her leisure time,
