Brunetta East was bom on August 20, 1954 in Pensacola,
Florida. She was the daughter of Allie and Howard Cheatham.
She attended and graduated from J.F. Shields High School in
Beatrice, Alabama in 1972. Soon after graduating, she relocated
to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she worked for the School
District of Philadelphia.
Brunetta confessed and accepted Christ as her Savior at a very
young age. She was a devoted member of St. Jude Baptist
Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a kind, very
wise, humorous, outspoken, caring, and loving person. She
also had a great love for children and had fostered over 100
children throughout the years. Brunetta was preceded in death
by her son Charles Bibbs Jr and father Howard Cheatham.
Brunetta answered the call of her loving Savior and transitioned
into her promised paradise on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She
will forever live on in the hearts of her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Allie Cheatham;
daughter, Chametta East; sons, Isaac (Portia) East and Jameer
Rowe; grandchildren, Isaac East, II and Dante Shaw; brother,
Billie East; sister, Jennie East; special friend, Charles Bibbs;

in the presence of mine enemies:

Surely goodness and mercy
