ALICE B. COLE entered into her Father's heavenly gates on
November 19, 2012. She was the oldest child, born to Claude
and Grace Cole, Sr. on May 26, 1930. Alice had a daughter,
Deborah Mae Cole that preceded her in death.
Alice was born in Eutaw, Alabama, graduated from Dunbar
High School in Fairmont, West Virginia and was a graduate
of West Virginia State College and Toledo University. She
worked for the City of Toledo before beginning her teaching
career with the Toledo Board of Education were she retired
after thirty-two years of service.
Alice accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member
and one-time employee of Third Baptist Church in Toledo and
became a member of Elim Baptist Church after moving to
Augusta to live with her sister Barbara and niece Cheryl.
She was a Silver member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Inc. and a member of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.
Her passions were traveling, shopping, reading and gaming
of all kinds.
Gone, but never forgotten, Alice leaves to treasure her memory:
her sister, Barbara J. Eldridge, Augusta, GA; brother, Claude
E. Cole (Senora), Wesley Chapel, FL; nephews, Dr. Ehrman
H. Eldridge, Jr. (Patricia), Columbus GA, Jay S. Cole (Lisa),
Tempe, AZ and Darren C. Cole, San Diego, CA; nieces, Cheryl
L. Eldridge, Augusta, GA, Daina J. Devereaux-Williams
(Ronald), Collingswood, NJ and Ly B. Eldridge, Decatur, GA;
great-nephews, Cole Tyler Devereaux, Collingswood, NJ and
LaRekos M. Ware (Daphney), Graniteville, SC; great-nieces,
Myleata R., Melissa R. and Megan M. Eldridge, Columbus,
GA; great-great nephews and nieces, LaRekos M. Ware, Jr.,
Brandon M. Johnson, Mia D. Ragland, Mikayla R. Eldridge,
Jaden D. Ware, Carter C. Williams and Niyah B. Ware.
