OBITUARY
Lucius L. Cobbs Sr., who departed this world on September 6, 1985, was b o m on August 12, 1910 in Edgefield, South Carolina.
Mr. Cobbs was one of thirteen children b o m to Robert and Marie Weaver Cobbs.
He moved from Edgefield, lived in Aiken until 1927 when he moved to Hempstead, New York. He married his loving wife, of many years, Martha Chandler Cobbs.
While in Hempstead, Mr. Cobbs was an active member and Trustee of Union Baptist Church. He was a Mason, an Old Fellow and was involved in many Civic and Community Organizations too numerous to list.
In 1972, he moved to Rockledge, Florida and continued his devotion to the Church. He initially became a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church and subsequently moved his membership to Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Cobbs was also active in Civic and Community Organizations in Rockledge.

There's an open gate at the end of the road Through which each must go alone, And there in a light we cannot see Our Father claims His own.
Beyond the gate your loved one Finds happiness and rest
And there is comfort in the thought That a loving God knows best.
