What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain, The m ajesty o f a tree;
The warmth o f a summer sun, The calm o f a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm o f night,
The wisdom of the ages, The po w er of the eagle's flight,
Thejo y o f a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The pa tience of eternity, The depth of a fam ily need,
Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete,
A nd so, He called it..D ad

SLEEPING WITH THE ANGELS

From a place high above,

I thought m y life was over,

W here angels float in the sky,

I did not g et to see him often,

To the very gro u n d I walk on,

Even though h e was not far away,

M y G randfather watches ov er m e,

But even then h e m eant the w orld to m e,

E very step I take,

L eading m e in the righ t direction,

H e knew no wrong.

Show ing m e the way.

Alw ays wanting what was best fo r everyone,

N ever putting him self ahead,

Even though I know that h e is in m y heart,

I'v e n ev er m et a better person,

I wish h e could b e h ere w atching m e,

To help m e walk m y way,

A s I develop into a beautifuly o u n g woman.

I n ev er thought I'd g e t through this,

N o.m atter what,

A n d still haven't today,

N o m atter how far away h e m ight be,

But know ing he's always with m e.

H e is still m y hero,

M akes m e stronger in m y everyday life.

For h e has changed me.

You see, m y Grandfather died a few days ago,

The death o f m y guardian angel,

But now his spirit is with m e,

Was the hardest day o f m y life,

A n d I know h e's living a better life,

Even though h e m oved to the

Sleeping with the angels,

best pla ce in the w orld.

In his com fy bed at night.

Love, Your Granddaughter, Natisa.
