Mr. James JranRBurton, the son of the [ate Mr & Mrs.
Alexander and [Fannie ('.Barnes) [Burton, was horn June 15,1933 in
Augusta, Qeorgia. [He departed this Cife on Sunday, August 14,2005
at his residence.
[During his earCy years, he attendedgrade school at Johnson
Qrove School in [Richmond County Qeorgia. At an early age he was
baptized at [First Ehenezer [Baptist Church in Hephzihah, Qeorgia.
In July 19id, he was united in Holy Matrimony to the late
[Rubye [Dell Lee [Burton. Ho this union three children were horn.
He Was empbyed by Arcfier Daniel Milling (ADM) Company
where he retired after 35 years of service.
He [eaves to cherish his memory four sons: Mr. James W.
[Burton of Los Angeles, California and Warrant Officer CouncieIL.
[Burton of San Diego, California, Mr. Carded T. [Burton of Augusta,
Qeorgia and Mr. [Bernard A. [Burton of Atlanta, Qeorgia. Three
brothers: Mr. William H. (Mary) Washington, Mr. Charlie M. (Tat)
Burton, and Mr. Mprman Burton, ad of Augusta. Two sisters: Ms.
Lucy L. Jordan of Augusta, Qeorgia and Mrs. Elizabeth B. (Elliott)
Qriffin of Hephzihah, Qeorgia. Mother-in-Law Ms. Odeda Jones Lee
of Statesboro, Qeorgia. Jive Brother-in-Laws: Mr. James D. (Brenda)
Lee of Columbia, South Carolina, Mr. Eddie O. (Barbara) Lee of
Lithonia, Qeorgia, Mr. [Ronnie Lee of Statesboro, Qeorgia, Mr. Larry
D. ([Rosalyn) Lee, Sr. ofJonesboro, Qeorgia, and [Reverend Council H.
(Barbara) Lee of Statesboro, Qeorgia. Two Sister-in-Laws; Mrs. Bea-
trice (Henneth) BaRer of Cartersvide, Qeorgia, and Elizabeth Burton
of Augusta, Qeorgia. nineteen grandchildren and a host of nieces,
